Disney-Pixar’s ‘Coco’ themesong by Inigo Pascual

MANILA, Philippines — Chart-topping Filipino recording artist Inigo Pascual sings and appears in the music video of “Remember Me,” the lead song from Disney-Pixar's new animated feature “Coco.”
His cover version of the music video has been launched on Friday noon in VEVO, while the TV premiere will be on November 18, exclusively on Channel V.
This version of music video aims to deliver the stirring and optimistic message of “Coco” – that family is forever and we must keep alive the reminiscences of our loved ones.
Inigo says in a statement, “I am honored to sing this song because it is about family and remembering the people we love. It reminds us to appreciate the love and sacrifice that our families had to make in order for us to arrive where we are.”
“Remember Me” was composed by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the Oscar-winning team behind Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 2013 feature “Frozen.” In the film, “Remember Me” is the signature song for beloved performer Ernesto de la Cruz, and is heard multiple times throughout the movie.
“The song is from the point of view of a person hoping to be remembered by a loved one,” said Anderson-Lopez. “But the lyric can be interpreted a few different ways depending on the tempo and tone of the music.”
“Coco” was directed by Lee Unkrich (“Toy Story 3”), co-directed by Adrian Molina (story artist “Monsters University”) and produced by Darla K. Anderson (“Toy Story 3”), Disney/Pixar’s Coco opens in Philippine theaters on November 22.

Kean Cipriano and Chynna Ortaleza's Gothic Wedding

MANILA, Philippines — While Kapamilya Network celebrates the Kapamilya stars Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff’s wedding in New Zealand, Kapuso Network also celebrates another “Wedding of the Year” — that of actors and rock stars Kean Cipriano and Chynna Ortaleza.
Series of Instagram posts of Chynna and Kean made them famous on social media where they shared the capture moments on how they marked one of the most important days in their lives in an intimate church ceremony last November 7.
Friends and family of the couple gathered and gave their full support at the Twin Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Quezon City to witness the couple’s exchange “I do’s” for the second time beacuse they already got hitched in a civil ceremony on Jan. 1, 2016.
Netizens described the church wedding as “very modern” and gothic. Chynna was wearing a gray dress instead of the conventional white one and was designed by Edwin Tan and the late designer Pepsi Herrera. It came with matching bouquet of "dead" flowers. Even the flowers that decorated the church appeared to be dead, true to the couple's rock star image.
The couple's entourage was also in all black.

Kobe Paras wants Kai Sotto to consider basketball career in US

MANILA, Philippines — Basketball star Kobe Paras has a piece of advice for up and coming talent Kai Sotto.
The UAAP juniors division was dominated by 7-foot-1 Sotto of the Ateneo Blue Eaglets, thanks to his height.
Sotto is seen by observers and fans as the future of Philippine basketball, although he still needs to bulk up.
Paras, however, thinks the prospect should explore other options, specifically outside of the country.
"Hopefully one day Kai may make a mature decision to continue his basketball career here in the states so that he won't get rotten and brain(washed) in Manila," he tweeted on Friday.
Like Sotto, Paras gathered a lot of buzz when he played for the La Salle Greenies in the NCAA.
Naturally, schools and universities tried to lure him in the collegiate ranks. But he packed his bags and flew to US and tried to play for the UCLA but withdrew.
Paras later on signed with the Creighton University Bluejays, where he played for one season. He then sat out a year after transferring to Cal State Northridge.

Miss Philippines' Laura Lehmann makes it to Top 40 - Miss World 2017

Miss Philippines Laura Lehmann has advanced to the Top 40 of the Miss World 2017 pageant ahead of the main contest Saturday in Sanya, China.

Lehmann represented the Philippines and is among the 20 candidates who won in the Head-to-Head Challenge, a new segment of the pageant where a group of candidates answered a common question.

The Philippines' bet, who was grouped with candidates from Turkey, Thailand, Lesotho, Myanmar, and Serbia, answered a question on what could be done to address cyberbullying.

Lehmann answered the question. "I think it's a question that we understand, but we also know that it's something that's very hard to avoid because sometimes, we can't really control what other people really say or what other people think. But I think the best thing we can do is use our platform and use our voices because the whole world is watching us. So whenever we see someone being bullied online, I think that we can't be passive bystanders. We have to do something about it, we have to point it out, and we have to remind them that trolls and bashers aren't allowed on our Facebook pages and it's our job to just post things that are positive rather than negative or something that condemns other people."

The Head-to-Head Challenge is one of five fast track events of the pageant. Winners automatically qualify for the Miss World Top 40 round.

Also, Lehmann is also among five finalists of the Beauty with a Purpose segment along with contestants from South Africa, Vietnam, India and Indonesia.

Miss Philippines is a step closer to the crown. Goodluck!

NBA- Lebron James shines as Cavs win, Spurs rally stuns Thunder

LeBron James got 39-point masterclass as the Cleveland Cavaliers rallied to overhaul the Los Angeles Clippers in an overtime thriller on Friday.

James added 14 rebounds and six assists to his 39 point tally while Kevin Love grabbed 25 points to power the Cavs to a 118-113 overtime victory at the Quicken Loans Arena.

The win helped cement Cleveland's climb in the Eastern Conference standings, with the 2016 NBA champions now at 9-7 after four straight wins.
But the Cavs did it the solid way, constantly allowing the Clippers to open up sizeable leads before reeling them in.

"That's how the game is being played for us at this point in the season," said James.

"It's good to know that we're building character and building resiliency and you can do that with a new group then that definitely can help us in the long run, so we can't say that we wish we wouldn't do that, but it is what it is. That's the way the game is being played and we got to adjust to it."

The Clippers were unable to ram home their advantage after leading 92-82 with 8:51 left in the fourth and 101-93 with just under five minutes on the clock.

The Clippers had also led by 81-66 with 3:14 remaining in the third quarter only to see the lead fade away after James' commanding routine.

Dwyane Wade was the only other Cleveland player to break double digits, with 23 points, 11 rebounds and five assists.

Los Angeles meanwhile increase their scoring more evenly, with Blake Griffin leading with 23 and DeAndre Jordan adding 20.

Four other Clippers players also reached double figures for the night, but it was not enough.

Top US fashion model Gigi Hadid of Victoria's Secret was banned in China

Top US fashion model Gigi Hadid on Friday pulled out of the annual Victoria's Secret fashion show in Shanghai after an online video showing her apparently making a slant-eyes face sparked criticism in China.
The announcement is the second apparent snag to hit the US lingerie maker's A-list underwear extravaganza set for Monday, following reports that three Russian and one Ukrainian model had failed to obtain Chinese visas.
Hadid, ranked fifth on Forbes' list of the highest-paid women models last year at $9 million, had excitedly announced her participation in the show in August.
She gave no reason for the reversal.
"I'm so bummed I won't be able to make it to China this year," the 22-year-old said on Twitter.
"Love my VS family, and will be with all my girls in spirit!"
Hadid's withdrawal averts a potential PR disaster for Victoria's Secret, which is hoping to shore up a sagging bottom line by pushing into China's growing intimate-wear market.
The company opened its first flagship stores in China this year and Monday's show is the first held outside the US or Europe.
Chinese internet users accused Hadid of racism after her sister Bella -- another of the three dozen or more models expected in Shanghai -- posted an Instagram video in February showing Gigi squinting her eyes while holding up a Buddha-shaped cookie.
After Hadid announced in August that she would come to Shanghai, many Chinese netizens pounced anew, warning her to stay away.
Hadid posted a bilingual apology on China's Twitter-like Weibo on September 1, declaring her "respect and love for the people of China" and swearing she meant no harm, but even that drew flak.
A Victoria's Secret spokesman declined comment when asked by AFP whether Hadid pulled out on her own, was asked to by the company, or whether Chinese authorities applied any pressure.
- Not welcome -
Chinese Weibo users mostly crowed over her withdrawal.
"Suddenly I have better feelings about VS. If she had come, I would never buy VS my entire life," said one posting.
Others, however, expressed regret, noting Hadid's apology.
Speculation has also swirled over the participation of Russia's Julia Belyakova, Kate Grigorieva and Irina Sharipova, and Ukraine's Dasha Khlystun, after unconfirmed reports suggested they were denied Chinese visas.
The Victoria's Secret spokesman declined comment.
"That's getting into a Chinese government issue. Victoria's Secret is not going to comment on that," he said, referring line-up questions to each model's individual agencies.
The annual show, viewed by millions worldwide, features the planet's top models including Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Jasmine Tookes and Lais Ribeiro.
It tapes Monday and airs globally on November 28.
China's foreign ministry said Friday it was "not aware" of the Hadid or visa issues.
"I can only tell you that we welcome foreign citizens to come to China, to engage in normal trade, tourism and cultural activities. And we are willing to issue visas to the eligible applicants," ministry spokesman Geng Shuang told a daily briefing.
Hadid joins a list of foreigners who wore out their China welcome.
Celebrities including singers Bjork, Elton John and Lady Gaga, and actors such as Richard Gere and Sharon Stone, have either been banned or pilloried for words or actions deemed as criticising China on sensitive topics like Tibetan independence and human rights.
Argentine international footballer Ezequiel Lavezzi, who plays for Chinese club Hebei China Fortune, apologised in May after publicity photos showing him pulling the corners of his eyes back in a slant-eyed gesture angered many. He is still with the club.

Take a look at Anne Curtis and Erwan's Wedding Video

Newly wed couple Erwan Heussaff and Anne Curtis  treated "It's Showtime" fans to a preview of their blissful New Zealand wedding.

The video of their big day showed more intimate look of them than the photos of their swoon-worth Nov. 12 wedding. But both of the photos and videos of their wedding have captured the heart of the viewers most especially their fans.

Put together by videographer Jason Magbanua, the video showed glimpses of the couple's pre-wedding jitters, with an excited Anne jumping on the bed before her wedding and a nervous Erwan saying "Let's do it. No backing out now."

The video also showed different beautiful scenes including scenes of the couple on the edge of a mountain capturing the beautiful view of Queenstown.

But the most heartwarming part of the video was Anne's emotional walk down the aisle with a teary Erwan waiting at the altar. The video also captured the couple's first kiss as Mr. and Mrs. Heussaff.

The "Queen of Twitter” of Philippines and her chef beau, who began dating in 2011, exchanged vows less than a year after getting engaged in December.

Anne’s co-host in “It’s Showtime” gave their most heartfelt of congratulating her.
