The Fall Creators Update for Windows 10 has now
started rolling out to users, providing some added functionality in the realms
of mixed reality, 3D, gaming, and more.
With a VR headset and a compatible PC, you will be able to
get into immersive experiences with Windows Mixed Reality, or even paint in 3D
space with Paint 3D using the Mixed Reality Viewer App.
Communication apps like Mail and Skype get an upgrade with
the Fall Creators Update, as you will now be able to pin your top contacts to
the quick-access bar. You can even drag files onto your pinned contact of
choice to easily share files.
Cortana gets some added functionality, as you can now ask it
to execute power-related commands like shut down, restart, or sleep.
Your smartphone to PC workflow can now be more productive if
you install the Microsoft
Launcher on your Android device. It works alongside the Fall Creators
Update and allows you to seamlessly continue what you’re working on, on your
PC.
Finally, Windows Defender and Microsoft Edge are given some
added functions such as protection against new ransomware and book annotation.
